The functions of the Fire Department Museum are not only as a museum ,but as a small-scale library of fire protection. It exhibits the historical and old-fashioned fire fighting documents and equipments, as well as offers an education on fire protection. Besides, a fire team is retained in the Museum to confirm the safety of the visitors. |

| The hall contains a CPR training area and an exhibition area of poles for firemen, interactive computers , fireproof clothes for firemen (those of the Japanese Occupation and the fireproof ones of recent years), a variety of fire protection brochure, and fire fighting equipments. |

| The campanile is divides into several floors for exhibitive purpose. The 3rd floor is for fire, the fourth for storm and fire, the fifth for earthquake, and the sixth for the air pictures of the downtown of Japanese Occupation and the megaphones of the earlier times, which are all exhibited with words, graphs, illustrations, and pictures. |

3. Smoking, food using, noise marking and running are forbidden. |

4. Those who destroy any of the equipment are requireds to indemnify for the damages. |

Close time of the Museum |

Mondays, Chinese New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and the following day (if the Monday is national holiday, then it will be opened on Monday and closed on Tuesday ), and other days for specific reasons such as typhoons or repair. |

Rules of Guidance in the Museum |

Regular : From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Museum has expert guides for the public. |
| |
Reserved : Reserved guiding is for institutions, schools, groups, and companies which should phone 3 days ago(5210097) or use application from (from Fire Department or its Fire Stations) to make the reservation. A group of ten people or above has a specifically assigned guide in the Museum. |

Via freeway:
Coming off any of the Hsinchu interchange ways at the
Guangfu Road exit.Follow along Guangfu Road towards the
Hsinchu City direction, get onto Guangfu Road viaduct
and get off at the Minzu Road exit. Follow along Dongda
Road, turn left at the Zhongyang Road intersection then
turn right at the Zhongzheng Road intersection, then turn
left at the Zhongshan Road intersection ,and you will
see the city fire museum. |

Get off Jiadong interchange way onto Caiciao Road, pass through Minhu Road, Nanda Road, then turn left at the Xida Road intersection, going along Xida Road and turn right at the Zhongshan Road intersection, continue on Zhongshan Road and you are there. |
